Trump: Democrat Stacey Abrams ‘Might Very Well Be Better’ As Georgia Governor Than Brian Kemp

Published

on

On Saturday night, former President Donald Trump held a rally in Perry, Georgia. During his speech, the former commander in chief covered a variety of topics, and repeatedly attacked Georgia’s Republican governor, Brian Kemp.

During one offhand remark, Trump said that it “might be better” if failed gubernatorial candidate and Democrat activist Stacey Abrams were in the governor’s office.

“When Stacey Abrams says, ‘I’m not gonna concede,’ that’s okay. No problem! Oh, she’s not gonna concede, she’s not gonna concede,” Trump said. “Of course, having her, I think, might be better than having your existing governor … might very well be better.”

Trump later noted: “Stacey Abrams, who still has not conceded — and that’s okay. Stacy, would you like to take [his place]? It’s okay with me. She still has not conceded.”

The Hill writes that Saturday’s rally “comes as Trump is attempting to play a role in Georgia ahead of the upcoming 2022 midterm elections.”

During the 2018 race for governor in Georgia, Democratic candidate Abrams faced off against then-Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp. The race was one of the most watched in the nation, with “likely” over $100 million spent, according to The Atlanta Journal Constitution.

With the RealClearPolitics polling average placing Kemp ahead of Abrams by a margin of just three percentage points in the days leading up to the general election, Kemp edged out a 1.4% victory.

On November 16, ten days after her Election Day loss, Abrams admitted defeat, and slammed Brian Kemp for alleged voter “suppression” in a monologue that Abrams emphasized was “not a speech of concession.”

“I acknowledge that former Secretary of State Brian Kemp will be certified as the victor in the 2018 gubernatorial election — but to watch an elected official who claims to represent the people in this state baldly pin his hopes for election on the suppression of the people’s democratic right to vote has been truly appalling,” Abrams said. “So let’s be clear — this is not a speech of concession because concession means to acknowledge an action is right, true, or proper. As a woman of conscience and faith, I cannot concede that.”

After the election, then-President Trump lauded Kemp, and spoke highly of Abrams as well, tweeting: “Congratulations to Brian Kemp on becoming the new Governor of Georgia. Stacey Abrams fought brilliantly and hard — she will have a terrific political future! Brian was unrelenting and will become a great Governor for the truly Wonderful People of Georgia!”

Donald Trump Cleared By Inspector General – New Report Debunks Biden’s Claim That Donald “Used The Military” Against Citizens

Published

on

Last year saw plenty of civil unrest, protests and riots. Some of that violence occurred in the nation’s capitol, well before the unfortunate events of January 6.

Between May and June of 2020, for example, there were plenty of demonstrations taking place in Washington D.C., and one erupted in an altercation between rioters and law enforcement.

Immediately afterward, the media and people like Joe Biden and Kamala Harris accused then-President Donald Trump of using this violence to his advantage.

But a new report from the U.S. Department of the Interior’s Inspector General shows that in fact, none of these accusations were true.

Trump visited St. John’s church in D.C. after it had been set on fire, and the media quickly pounced.

For example, NPR tweeted on June 1 that police “used tear gas and rubber pellets on peaceful protesters” and then “President Trump walked to the church for a photo op.”

Democrat leaders were quick to chime in. Biden responded to the NPR report by tweeting:

And Biden’s eventual running mate, Sen. Kamala Harris, added:

However, the DOI’s Inspector General’s report debunks these claims. The report includes “a detailed timeline of relevant actions” concerning police activity, and how and if Trump was involved.

The results were pretty clear:

Moreover, the evidence established that relevant USPP officials had made those decisions and had begun implementing the operational plan several hours before they knew of a potential Presidential visit to the park, which occurred later that day.

As such, we determined that the evidence did not support a finding that the USPP cleared the park on June 1, 2020, so that then President Trump could enter the park.

In other words, the President did not utilize police or military force “for a photo op,” and he certainly never tear-gassed protesters as Harris literally stated.

For his part, Trump has been saying this from the beginning. He supported law enforcement for clearing the area, and commended authorities for saving much of the church.

And in response to the Inspector General’s report, the former President offered his thanks:

Thank you to the Department of the Interior Inspector General for Completely and Totally exonerating me in the clearing of Lafayette Park!

As we have said all along, and it was backed up in today’s highly detailed and professionally written report, our fine Park Police made the decision to clear the park to allow a contractor to safely install antiscale fencing…

Fortunately, we were there to stop the fire from spreading beyond the basement—and it was our great honor and privilege to do so. Again, thank you to the Inspector General!

This is an example of what happens when journalists and politicians run with reports that aren’t accurate.

The evidence proves the claims made by Biden and Harris to be completely false, and the initial reporting by NPR to be unreliable at best. And all this is a big reason why fewer people trust the media.

Once again, it seems Trump was correct in defending himself — and once again, the push to condemn the President backfires on Democrats and the left-wing media.

Key Takeaways:

  • A new report by the DOI Inspector General clears Trump of any wrongdoing regarding the Lafayette Park incident in 2020.
  • Democrat leaders like Joe Biden and Kamala Harris claimed Trump used force against the American people “for a photo op.”
  • This has been proven untrue, and Trump has thanked the Inspector General for the report.

Trump Warns Supporters Capitol Rally Could Be A ‘Setup’ – Donald Accuses Democrats, Tells Ralliers To Stay Away

Published

on

What’s Happening:

This week, a group of patriots planned to hold a rally in support of those arrested over January 6. But a few notable faces will be missing from the crowd: namely any prominent Republican leader. And here’s why.

Just a few days before the rally, Capitol Police suddenly erected security fencing around the city. As Pelosi demanded earlier in the year, this unnecessary measure is made to look like conservatives are a constant threat to our government.

Donald Trump, however, has gone further to expose the left’s plans. And he says the event is really a setup by Democrats.

From Daily Wire:

Prominent Republicans, however, have made it clear that they don’t intend on showing up…

“On Saturday, that’s a setup,” Trump told The Federalist in an interview, also published Thursday. “If people don’t show up they’ll say, ‘Oh, it’s a lack of spirit.’ And if people do show up they’ll be harassed.”

Longtime Republican operative Roger Stone, who was granted clemency last December, has voiced opposition as well… “No, patriots, stay away from Washington,” he said.

Oddly, many prominent Republicans and leaders, including Donald Trump and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, revealed they will not be attending the event. McCarthy said not a single Republican will be there.

Roger Stone was even urging Trump supporters to “stay away” from the D.C. rally.

Why is this so? Isn’t Trump and the MAGA movement known for its legendary rallies? It seems this event is not being sanctioned by the GOP or Trump’s Super PAC. And the 45th president is even calling it a setup.

Like we saw back in January, Democrats in D.C. are looking for a reason to attack conservatives. Trump warns that if the event is lightly attended, they’ll say it’s due to a “lack of spirit.” But if many people show up, he believes they will be “harassed.”

The image of imposing security fencing is enough for many Americans to want to stay away. Others might fear an outbreak of violence, as the far-left frequently shows up to be “counter protesters.” On top of that Capitol Police might use even minor commotion as an excuse to arrest more conservatives.

Those who organized the event claim they are on the right. They promise that it will be peaceful. But the fact that not a single Republican leader will be there speaks volumes.

Key Takeaways:

  • Trump claimed the Justice for J6 rally is a setup by the Democrats.
  • He said they will attack conservatives whether many or few show up.
  • Other Republicans warned Americans to “stay away” from D.C.

Donald Trump ‘laser-focused’ on replacing Joe Biden as US president in 2024

Published

on

A “LASER-focused” Donald Trump is set to make a political comeback with a run for the US Presidency in 2024, according to one of his closest allies.

Jason Miller, who was Mr Trump’s chief spokesman in the victorious 2016 campaign and senior adviser when he was defeated in 2024, told the Sunday Express that he believes the former President would beat Joe Biden easily and return to the White House. Mr Miller gave his exclusive interview to the Sunday Express on a visit to London where he was promoting a new social media platform GETTR, which is set to take on Twitter and other social media giants. He said: “I think President Trump runs again in 2024. The polling right now shows that he is actually beating Joe Biden and is well ahead.”

Mr Miller noted that a formal decision has not been made by the former US President but highlighted his recent rallies in places like Alabama where 50,000 people attended.

Many allies of the President thought that he would give up and perhaps be a kingmaker for the next Republican candidate.

And Mr Miller noted that after the defeat and failed legal challenges the former President was “only 20 percent” likely to run again.

Mr Trump took a six month break but when he reemerged “was about the time things were going wrong” for Biden.

Now he is sure that there will be a Trump 2024 campaign and he is set to win.

Mr Miller said that the unpopularity of Joe Biden ”with some of the worst ratings for a President in history” and the fact that many of Mr Trump’s predictions about what would happen have come true are behind the decision to run again.

He said: “This is why I think President Trump runs in 2024, the way he’s talked of late, the laser focus he has.

“You say things on the campaign trail such as ‘if Joe Biden is elected he’s going to push the allowed millions of undocumented illegals in the country’ or ‘if Biden is selected the Chinese will take control of everything in South China Sea’.

“You have your campaign trail hyperbole that you say but rarely does that become true.

“In almost every example that is kind of what we’re seeing has come true. This is why president Trump is so focused right now. [But] he hasn’t made a formal decision.”

Mr Miller says that the Republican nomination is there for Mr Trump’s taking if he wants it with around 60 percent of Republicans backing the former President.

Next up is Florida Governor Ron DeSantis who has won plaudits for taking on woke culture and being anti-lockdown.

He is on 13 percent and Mr Miller believes would get the nomination  if his former boss decides not to stand.

The election strategist believes that the last US election was “legally stolen” from Donald Trump in 2020 and says he has two regrets.

He believes that the US right should have had an alternative social media platform in place after Twitter and Facebook started censoring material critical of Biden, particularly his son Hunter Biden who was linked to a financial scandal.

He also admitted he “did not think they would go there” in kicking Mr Trump off the platforms.

His second regret was that they did not challenge changes to the law in voting before the election and left it until after the count.

Many of the changes allowed much wider use of postal voting because of the covid pandemic leading to allegations of massive fraud.

“The media narrative was sour grapes and it was very difficult,” he said. “We should have challenged it before.”

Mr Miller warned that the same could happen now in other elections around the world against conservatives in places like Hungary and Brazil.

But he insisted that the mid-term polls for Congress next year will be “payback” for many Americans who feel tricked by the current White House incumbent.

He said: “They were promised rainbows, they thought things would be much better without the mean Tweets, but things are much worse.”

However, Mr Miller believes that President Biden will not attempt a second term in the White House.

He said: “I don’t think it is going to be Joe Biden he [Trump] runs against. He [Biden] probably finishes his term even after how disastrous these months for the Biden Presidency has been. “The Afghan withdrawal was a disaster. It was a common goal but it was the way he did it. People say Trump would have withdrawn from Afghanistan too which is true.

“But it’s like saying the common objective is to cross the street but it’s not the common objective to get hit by a truck crossing the street.”

He also highlighted weakness of the Biden administration in tackling China whose influence stretches now to Honolulu.

Also its failure to tackle illegal immigration suggesting that describing the Mexican border as “being like Swiss cheese” was “generous.”

There are also fears of hyperinflation and the ongoing problems with the culture war.

While he suggested that the current Vice President Kamala Harris is the most likely candidate he dismissed the idea that Meghan Marle could make a bid for the Democrats.

“I don’t think she would be elected anywhere. With anyone who is right of centre she would never get anywhere because of her Trump bashing.

“Just her elitist attitude and life would make it difficult even in a Democratic Party primary. People would say ‘no, I thought we kind of excised that from the party.’.”

He added: “I’m very into the Royal family and rules 1, 2 and 3 are ‘respect the Queen’. It’s not that complicated.”

Mr Miller believes that a second Trump Presidency would make tackling China his priority with a demand for reparations for starting the covid pandemic.

He said: “The focus would have been on China. His agenda was ending the dependence on China. That would have been the focus when he got back in. Demand reparations from China. That’s very much on [if he wins again].

“His post Presidency rhetoric there are much more references to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).”

But he also believed the election will be won on the culture war with the US still divided over the Black Lives Matter movement and the Democrats pushing a woke agenda.

“I think it will be the Democratic over-reach and crazy ideological things. Some of the things like the woke culture, critica race theory, everything is cancel culture and transgender, the lockdowns will be a factor as well as illegal immigration.

“A lot of Democrats will be wiped out because of payback on Biden. He has one of the worst numbers a President has ever had.”

In the future, Mr Miller could see Trump’s daughter Ivanka and Donald junior making a bid for the Presidency.

“I think nobody could beat Donald junior in a primary but nobody could beat Ivanka in a national election,” he said.

But he added: “They are still young so they have time.”
